COMPLEX MEDIA NAMES TARI AYALA MANAGING EDITOR AND JAY GALLAGHER AND LOUIS DEL VECCHIO ACCOUNT DIRECTORS
NEW YORK, NY—June 3, 2008—Rich Antoniello, publisher, CEO, Complex Media, announced that Tari Ayala has been named managing editor and Jay Gallagher and Louis Del Vecchio account directors of the magazine. All positions are effective immediately.
Ms. Ayala joins Complex from Domino where she was an assistant managing editor. Prior to this, she held the same position at O, The Oprah Magazine for four years and also worked as assistant books editor there for three years. Ms. Ayala started her publishing career at Elle where she served as assistant editor. She replaces Andrew Simon who is no longer with the company.
Mr. Gallagher was previously account manager at National Geographic Traveler/ National Geographic Society where he managed the automotive, liquor, fashion, finance and luxury categories for the magazine. Prior to this, he was an account executive at Black Book and moved up the ranks from classified representative to New York music manager at Rolling Stone. He began his career in publishing at Blue magazine where he was an advertising representative/marketing associate. In this newly created position, he will manage automotive, liquor, finance and gaming categories for both Complex magazine and the Complex Media Network.
Mr. Del Vecchio comes to Complex from The New York Times Co. and About.com where he served as an account executive for three years. There he was responsible for selling interactive advertising to Fortune 500 clients in the Tri-State area. Prior to this, he worked as an account executive for both Worldlink Media and The Weather Channel. He began his career in sales at CIDEX International Inc. in 1995. Mr. Del Vecchio will manage consumer electronics, beverage, food and QSR categories for the magazine and vertical ad network.

Each double-sided issue features two distinct covers and offers a comprehensive style guide along with lifestyle features, celebrity interviews, trend pieces, video game coverage and Web site reviews. With a rate base of 340,000, Complex is published bi-monthly with a stand-alone buyer’s guide available once a year on newsstands only.
